How this calculator works
Custom mode gives you a free-form crop with adjustable aspect ratio, handled entirely by your browser's canvas — nothing is uploaded to a server, so your image never leaves your device. Social Media mode goes a step further: it runs a small face-detection model locally to auto-center the crop on the main subject before generating every platform's preset sizes at once.
Which platforms and sizes are covered
Presets cover Facebook (profile, cover, shared post), Instagram (profile, square post, portrait post, story/reel), LinkedIn (profile, cover banner), X/Twitter (profile, header banner), YouTube (channel profile, banner, video thumbnail), TikTok, Pinterest (profile, standard pin) and WhatsApp — each sized to that platform's current recommended dimensions, so you don't need to look up pixel dimensions separately for each one.
How the auto-centering works
Social Media mode runs a lightweight face-detection model entirely in your browser to find the main subject, then centers each platform's crop on it automatically — useful for profile pictures and portraits where a generic center-crop often cuts off part of a face. You can still fine-tune or override the auto-detected crop manually if it doesn't land where you want.
Privacy and file handling
Because everything runs client-side, including the face-detection step, no image data is ever sent to a server — there's no file-size limit imposed by an upload, and it works offline once the page has loaded. Download presets individually or grab all of them at once as a zip.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the image cropper upload my photos anywhere?
No — cropping happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API, including the face-detection step used for auto-centering. Your image is never uploaded to a server, which also means it works offline once the page has loaded.
What social media sizes does the auto-crop support?
Facebook (profile, cover, shared post), Instagram (profile, square post, portrait post, story/reel), LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube (profile, banner, thumbnail), TikTok, Pinterest and WhatsApp — each sized to that platform's current recommended dimensions.
What image formats can I export?
Cropped images export as standard web image formats (JPG/PNG) that you can download directly and use anywhere.
How does the auto-centering on faces work?
Social Media mode runs a lightweight face-detection model locally in your browser to find the main subject and center each preset's crop on it — useful for profile pictures where a plain center-crop often cuts off part of a face. You can still adjust the crop manually afterward.
Can I download all the social media sizes at once?
Yes — download each preset individually, or generate and download all of them together as a single zip file.
